I have
recently procured O365 plan and want to use exchange, however I would like to
migrate my apple mail data into outlook/pst. Please guide the procedure. also I
would like the entire folder hierarchy i.e. folders to be migrated exactly in
same format.<o:p></o:p>

I got the
following steps online<o:p></o:p>

Import .csv or
.mbox files<o:p></o:p>

1.      
Click File, and then click Import.<o:p></o:p>

2.      
Click to select Contactsor messages from a text file, and then click the
right arrow to continue.<o:p></o:p>

3.      
Click to select Import Contacts from a tab (CSV) or Import messages
from an MBOX- format text file, and then click the right arrow to continue.<o:p></o:p>

4.      
Locate the file, select the file, and then click Import. Click OK.<o:p></o:p>

However 
cannot test above steps , If we are not sure about folder hierarchy
because if all the mails are imported in Inbox then it will be trouble to us.<o:p></o:p>

Please assist
on priority.<o:p></o:p>

No idea what steps you are following or where you got your instructions from but there is no option to import anything from a .mbox file in Outlook (PC version) which makes everything else you've listed suspect.

MBOX is a standard plain text file format for storing email messages on hard drive. In my opinion, there is no manual method for transferring entire emails of Apple Mail into MS Outlook PST format.

However, user can try third party utility for converting MBOX file into PST file. After importing PST file into MS Outlook, you would be able to access Apple Mail messages on Windows machine.

Impressive info shared but i read an article from https://curah.microsoft.com/471242/how-to-convert-mbox-file-to-pst-file-of-ms-outlook which is really helpful to clear the methodology for the conversion of mbox to pst file and access of data from different email clients to Outlook.
